Your personal information is processed through the online platform operated on the domain careerfit.io ("Platform").
Based on the personal information provided, our system will create a resume or cover letter for you with the template of your choice and artificial intelligence (AI) is used for this purpose (referred to as the "Services"). Refer to our Terms of Service for detailed information.
When using our Services through our Platform, with AI assistance or not, we process your personal information to facilitate agreement and execution of the contract for the provision of our Services, including account creation via Platform registration. This processing is necessary for contractual obligations, and without providing the data, the conclusion of the contract and usage of our Services are not feasible.
If you decide to connect your account to a third-party account (like your Google account), we use the information you've permitted those third parties to simplify the process of creating and logging into your account.
To inform you of limited offers or benefits through our email newsletter and marketing channels we and/or our third party marketing partners may use the personal information you send to us (mainly your email address) for our marketing purposes. If this is in accordance with your marketing preferences, and if not you can use the "unsubscribe" link in every received email or by contacting us via email welcome@careerfit.io. Note that you will still receive emails related to our contract (e.g., changes in Terms of Service ).

At CareerfIT, we only keep your information for as long as we need it. Here's how it works:
Account closed? If you close your account, we will hold onto your data for 30 days in case you change your mind. After that, it's gone for good (and you'll need to create a new account if you return).
Account active? If you keep your account active, but haven't logged in for 2 years, we'll send you a reminder email. If you don't respond, we'll deactivate your account and delete your data.
Need your information? No worries! Within those 2 years, you can always log in and grab any information you need for your resume or other documents. Your old resumes and cover letters will also still be there for you to update.
Special cases: There are some laws that require us to keep certain information, like your identification and payment details, for a longer period (usually 10 years).
